King and Kingdom

Quoting from Darkseid ( a super-villain character from DC universe, one of Superman's arc enemy).

"What good is a king, when there is no kingdom?"

Just to give you a little information about Darkseid. As a super-villain, of course, he is all power hungry. He want to rule the world, control the universe and have everyone under slavery. That is the bad guy point of view.

Now let's take that quote and maybe use another point of view to analyse it.

King Jesus.

The Kingdom of Heaven.

I want to make this entry a reminder that a Christians life do not just revolve around going to church, serving actively in church, doing a lot of Bible study, reading up and gaining up on the knowledge of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. A Christian's life should not be so individualistic. All about MY knowledge of God, MY experience with God, MY relationship with God. Do you remember the Great commission? This is exactly what I am referring to. What is the purpose of getting to know God, (know so much for what????). Know so much so that we are able to spread the word. Our Biblical knowledge is not for own application only. It's for us to tell the world about Jesus. A lot of Christians nowadays just live "Christian Life" by behaving and following "Christian teachings". They kept on equipping themselves but did not use those equipments. It is like wearing layers and layers of armour without going to war.

"Yes we can see that you are a soldier with so many military gadgets on you, but why are you not fighting the war? "

"I thought being a soldier means learning all about the weapons and vehicles, go for dry practices, know how to wear and use those gadgets. But we are not required to actually use them, right?"

Well...

"Yes, we can see that you look like a Christian, saying all the graces before meals, going the extra mile tohelp the others, always quoting Biblical verses to support your decision. But why aren't you spreading the gospel to me?"

"I thought that being a Christian means that we have to do Bible study, be a very righteous person, be Holy Holy, know and live like a very good person and following the Bible. I do not really have to literally talk everybody around me to be a Christian, right?

A lot of of Christian do forget about the importance of the Great Commission . That included me. Very often, I thought that by attending Bible Study and serving in Church means that I've done my part living out the Christian Life. You know that part where they say about your relationship with God being very close and all, and em, living and acting like a Christian. I used to place too much emphasis on how to gear up myself to behave like a Christian, and using the excuse of "living-walking-testimony" and not talk to my peers about God and Jesus in my life. And assumed that what people see of me is "oh, he is such a good person because he is a Christian, Then I want to be a Christian too." We got to start out by using out mouth to tell them about God and Jesus.

So, dear people out there. If there is no such action of spreading done by you, this Kingdom will remain this radius. What good is Jesus's death when not all of the people receive the salvation? We ought to spread the word, the Great Commission, with God's grace, Jesus do not die in vain.
